SERVICES
Through a variety of avenues, Moonwater Farm engages youth and residents of Los Angeles in the Good Food System being built all across the city. As strong believers in food sovereignty and food justice, we are actively engaged in changing the narrative through education, dialogue, and practice. We provide a farm space for hands-on training that can inform future employment or study in the fields of sustainability, agriculture or aquaponics.
We are always interested in collaborations. Check out our gallery space to see examples of cowboy training, pop up dinner tasting series, and yoga retreats. Workshops cover homesteading, soap making, food fermentation, and youth-led cooking skills.
EDUCATION
We host youth groups and provide a wide variety of workshops and a summer camp for students. Our informed lesson planning on Urban Agriculture curriculum satisfies many of the specific California Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards . Teachers goals and needs are easily integrated into our offerings.
EVENT SPACE
The Farm is a delightful event space with indoor and outdoor options for groups from 20-100. Outdoors we have a bar, stage, farm table and the peaceful hum of a waterfall. Indoors we have a large kitchen with commercial range and meeting space for 25. Ideal for fundraising, weddings, pop up dinner or day retreats.
